Today, we’d like to introduce you to the Berlin-based Irish songwriter CROOK, whose online music trajectory can be tracked back four years ago to an early EP, but we like to think that it’s with his more recent tracks that this artist has really come into his own. As a follow up to ‘Easter Morning’, CROOK has shared the exquisitely-produced ‘Best Friends’. It’s swerves and dives with an electronic dexterity rarely heard among the pop community. The cold, isolating sounds at the opening of this track expose CROOK’s fragile feelings as he’s torn between his loyalty as a best friend and his feelings for his best friend’s girl. It’s an impossible situation, and doesn’t reach a resolution by the end of the song.
